Thai Fes in Yamagata 2026 Comes to Yamagata City, September 12–13 🇹🇭
The event is organized by the Thai Fes in Yamagata Executive Committee and YAMAGATA EKIMAE BAR.
It’s backed by the Royal Thai Embassy, Tokyo; the Tourism Authority of Thailand; Yamagata Prefecture; and Yamagata City — a genuine collaboration between the local community and the Kingdom of Thailand 😲
Built around the theme “Get to know Thailand, want to visit Thailand, want to be friends with Thailand,” it’s a major expansion of last year’s “Mini Thai Fes”!

Authentic Tuk-Tuks and a Muay Thai Workout Session — Here’s What to Check Out 🖊️
The venue will feature an authentic Thai tuk-tuk (a three-wheeled taxi common in Thailand) on display, plus live Thai music from a DJ to set the mood ♪
It should make for a great photo spot too 📸
A Real Muay Thai Performance by Gym Fighters, Plus a Hands-On Workout Program
One highlight is the Muay Thai (Thailand’s traditional martial art) content!
You won’t just get to watch an authentic performance by fighters from a Muay Thai gym — there’s also a hands-on “Muay Thai exercise” program you can join in on 💪
It’s a great way to get moving too, so it’s fun to try with the whole family 👶
There’s also a tourist information corner and a traditional Thai massage salon, so if you’re thinking about a trip to Thailand, this is worth checking out too 👀

The food stalls will include 8 vendors in total, including Thai Orchid Restaurant, Thai Food Baan Puthai, little asian food, BIG UP, and Sabai!
There will also be a Thai beer booth, so adults can enjoy a taste of Thailand with a drink in hand 🍺
On the goods side, there will be 5 vendors including World Bazaar, Thaihina, and LAZYCAT, and for hands-on culture, the traditional Thai massage salon “Suadee Yamagata” and a traditional carving demonstration are also planned.
