Gengar, Garchomp, Aron, and more Pokémon built from scrap materials
The heart of the exhibition is “POKÉMON UPCYCLE SCULPTURE” 👉 53 Pokémon built by students out of unwanted items and scrap materials!
For example—
Gengar is made from a helmet, cleats, a shoe keeper, CDs, and cards,
Garchomp is made from a caddy bag, rain boots, a record, a dumbbell, and a ball,
and Aron is made from a helmet, a mouse, a cup, and miniature sandals
— that’s what they’re built from!👀✨
Some pieces even use ocean plastic waste — fishing nets and buoys that washed up on the shores of Saga Prefecture — which really brings environmental issues close to home🐡
Every single Pokémon Upcycle Sculpture uses its materials completely differently, so it’s fun to hunt for your favorite one!

TUB, Tama Art University’s Product Design Program, and its push toward a circular society
This exhibition was brought to life by “TUB,” the studio of Tama Art University‘s Product Design Program, in cooperation with the Pokémon with YOU Foundation. The goal is to get people thinking about environmental issues like global warming and waste — through art, without it feeling like a lecture🎯
It’s a free event that kids and adults can enjoy together — a perfect outing for a day off in Tokyo✌
