I Went – and the Surprises Just Kept Coming! Full Highlights Report 🌊✨
When you think of Christian Riese Lassen, those sparkling ocean paintings featuring dolphins and the sea probably come to mind, right?
A lot of people probably recognize them from comedian sketches or puzzle box art – “Oh, I’ve seen that before!” 😊
Seeing them in person up close, though?
The sheer scale and attention to detail was absolutely overwhelming!
Eternal Emplace | The Secret of Hidden Hearts and a Dolphin in the Sky 🐬
My absolute favorite piece from the exhibition was “Eternal Emplace”!
If you look really carefully at the back-right of the painting, you can spot Lassen himself, in the act of painting it 😲
The artist hiding inside his own work – how incredibly romantic is that!
On top of that, the painting is filled with hidden hearts scattered all over,
and when you look up at the sky, there’s a 🐬 dolphin!
It’s like a hidden picture puzzle – you just get completely absorbed searching for them!
There’s actually a deeply meaningful reason why Lassen hides hearts in his paintings: it’s all about family love.
Lassen has always placed enormous importance on expressing his love for his children through his art,
and he continues to hide hearts throughout his works to deliver the message that “love exists within nature” ❤️
Every time you find one, it fills your heart with this warm, gentle feeling!
The Lighting Changes from Morning to Day to Night! Experiencing Art Like Never Before
One of the most special parts of this exhibition was that they showed us the paintings up close while demonstrating how they change under different lighting!
Simply by shifting the angle of the light, the exact same painting transforms completely – from morning to midday to night ✨
Morning has a soft, gentle glow. Midday is vivid and full of energy.
And night deepens into a mysterious, rich blue… I genuinely gasped “Wait, that’s the SAME painting?!” 😲
Christian Lassen‘s works are beautiful from a distance, but seeing them up close reveals an entirely different world of brushwork and light.
This kind of hands-on, immersive presentation was absolutely the best!
Kirk Reinert’s Fairy World on Display Too! Comparing Two Artists’ Universes 🧚
This exhibition wasn’t just Christian Riese Lassen – works by Kirk Reinert were also on display!
Reinert’s paintings feature fairies and a fantastical dreamworld vibe –
absolutely adorable and completely enchanting 🌸
It honestly felt like wandering straight into a fairy tale!
Rhinestones Hidden in the Paintings! Sparkling in the Sunlight 💎
One thing that truly surprised me was discovering that some of the paintings have rhinestones subtly embedded in them 💎
When sunlight hits them, they catch the light with a sparkling flash,
representing the glittering reflection of snow, water surfaces, and the brilliance of nature!
I never expected there to be materials beyond paint – the craftsmanship is just insane!
This is a kind of emotion you truly can’t get anywhere except standing in front of the real thing ✨
Lassen × Reinert | A Side-by-Side Comparison of Two Artists’ Worlds
| Christian Riese Lassen | Kirk Reinert | |
|---|---|---|
| Theme | Ocean, dolphins, whales, nature | Fairies, fantasy, dreamworld |
| Color Palette | Vivid blues, cobalt, greens | Soft pastels, gold, rose |
| Atmosphere | Dynamic, energetic, cosmic | Romantic, delicate, fairy tale |
| Hidden Elements | Hearts, animals, symbols of love | Particles of light, flowers, fairy breath |
| Fan Base | Ocean lovers, sparkly art enthusiasts | Fantasy, fairy tale, cute things lovers |
After soaking in Lassen’s powerful ocean world, stepping into Reinert’s delicate fairy universe is the ultimate contrast!
Having both worlds side by side really makes each one shine even brighter 🧚✨

When the staff asked “How did you first discover Lassen?”, I had to stop and think –
and then I remembered seeing his paintings on comedian sketches and puzzle boxes!
Those sparkling images must have been living in my memory without me even realizing it 😊
