He served as Art Director of the iconic KAWAII MONSTER CAFE in Harajuku, creating a space beloved by kawaii fans all over the world. The party schedule alternated between performances and free time — and the balance was spot on. The Possibility of a New Harajuku Night Culture 🌈
The venue sits in the Harajuku area — a perfect match for kawaii culture. The pop, colorful world of the party felt like it could only exist here, and there was something special about feeling Harajuku’s energy carry on deep into the night ✨ We genuinely felt like this could become a new staple of Harajuku nightlife.
That said — stepping outside after the party, most of Harajuku had already gone quiet. The street that’s so colorful and lively during the day felt almost lonely at night. It made us think: if more spaces like kawaii monster party kept Harajuku alive after dark, there’d be a lot more smiling faces out there 🌙
